Nestled within 12 lush garden acres, Dorchester Collection’s iconic Hotel Bel-Air remains a beloved hideaway for generations of guests and luxury travelers from around the globe. It’s enchanting setting includes lush grounds, fragrant gardens, and secluded guestrooms and suites housed in pink stucco buildings. Included among its most desired accommodations is the Presidential Suite.

Enter through your own private courtyard to discover a beautifully spacious living room with vaulted ceiling, grand piano and a monolithic fireplace, as well as a study, chef’s kitchen and separate employee entrance.

The famed Presidential Suite draws on Hotel Bel Air’s glamorous roots with classic details, modern lines, and a tranquil sense of space. Offering private dining for ten, a chef’s kitchen, a study, living room with grand piano, and a private, full-sized swimming pool, this is a truly spectacular residence.

What was your favorite feedback or comment received from past guests?  The Prince of Wales once said, “I slept better in the Presidential suite of the Bel-Air than in any other hotel in the world.” Tony Curtis lived at Hotel Bel-Air. He describes it as the “best wife” he’s ever had. “If I could, I would marry Hotel Bel-Air tomorrow,” he said. “She doesn’t ask me where I’ve been all night. She doesn’t mind if I bring a girl home. She makes my bed every day, feeds me regularly, takes my messages faithfully and puts my laundry in the little boxes tied up with ribbon.”

Is there a famous name, a particular street or monument that you most identify with? What inspired your style?  Legends never go out of style, and even though my surroundings may be over 70 years old, it is our heritage and history that remains our greatest inspiration.  The familiar Spanish Colonial architecture splashed in “Bel-Air Pink” is still present, with a new generation of Bel-Air aesthetic reflected through different design themes representing the glamorous eras of Los Angeles’ 1930’s, 40’s and 50’s conveyed in a fresh, youthful and elegant manner.

Who was your all-time favorite guest? Who can pick favorites when many of Hollywood’s legendary A-list have taken up residence at Hotel Bel-Air including Grace Kelly, Marilyn Monroe, Cary Grant, Elizabeth Taylor and John Wayne.
