Valerie Ann Wilson Loves Ice Cream in Paris

"The 'best ice cream in Paris is Berthillon!' They are located at 29-31 Rue Saint Louis, Ile Saint-Louis, 75004 Paris (near Notre Dame). After visiting Notre Dame, take a detour from sightseeing, and walk to the Ile Saint-Louis, the island in the middle the Seine River. Treat yourself to my favorite ice cream. You will find many little shops selling Berthillon including their original location. WOW - no matter what season, the flavors are delicious. It is one of my personal favorite Paris landmarks and I never go to Paris without stopping for at least one double scoop." - Valerie Ann Wilson, New York

Ca' del Sol are master Venetian mask makers and they let you (in fact encourage you) into the back of their atelier for a few hours to create and or decorate a mask of your own. Truly magical!!" - Jennifer Wilson-Buttigieg, New York

Lost in Ireland With the Locals

"Traveling western Ireland, we got lost on a peat bog. As my friend was berating my navigational skills, an old farmer and his wife stepped out of a nearby cottage and invited us in for tea. Four happy hours later, we took our leave. As we traveled to other countries, my friend kept wishing I'd get us lost again. I did, several times, and it always led to wonderful encounters with local people. Throw away the GPS! Go with the flow!" - Carol Mawhinney, Greenwich
