"The 'best ice cream in Paris is Berthillon!' They are located at 29-31 Rue Saint Louis, Ile Saint-Louis, 75004 Paris (near Notre Dame). After visiting Notre Dame, take a detour from sightseeing, and walk to the Ile Saint-Louis, the island in the middle the Seine River. Treat yourself to my favorite ice cream. You will find many little shops selling Berthillon including their original location. WOW - no matter what season, the flavors are delicious. "Traveling western Ireland, we got lost on a peat bog. As my friend was berating my navigational skills, an old farmer and his wife stepped out of a nearby cottage and invited us in for tea. Four happy hours later, we took our leave. As we traveled to other countries, my friend kept wishing I'd get us lost again.
